Tucson executive Adam Smith fired from job after viral Chick-fil-A video

TUCSON, AZ - A Tucson executive got fired Thursday for a video that went viral, showing him confronting a Chick-fil-A drive-thru employee.

Adam Smith, who was the CFO of Vante, Inc. in Tucson, recorded himself in his car, getting ready to pull up to the window for his "free water."

"You know why I'm getting my free water, right?" Smith asked the female employee.

"I do not," she replied.

"Because Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation," Smith said.

The 2:20-long video posted on YouTube has stirred plenty of debate on what Smith has accomplished with his drive-thru visit.

Vante, a medical device manufacturing company, later fired Smith, according to Yahoo! Finance.

"Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A," wrote a company spokesperson. "Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company."
