Suspect allegedly used pink gun in Tucson robbery

TUCSON, AZ - Authorities have arrested a man suspected of using a pink handgun to rob a convenience store in Tucson.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said Thursday that 35-year-old William Bodney has been booked on a charge of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Chief Deputy Chris Nanos says tips from the public led to Bodney's arrest Wednesday.

Deputies say a man allegedly approached a clerk Aug. 24 at a Quik Mart for money while wielding a pink and black gun.

The clerk says the suspect left with cigarettes, beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Bodney is being held at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
