TUCSON - Northwest Fire and Rescue crews report that a rollover accident killed one man and injured another in the Tucson area Sunday morning.
According to a news release, crews responded to the scene of the rollover at 3 a.m. Sunday near Ina Road on Interstate 10.
Crews discovered that a Chevy pick-up truck was traveling eastbound when it left the road and rolled over in the median. The truck was found on its side with heavy damage, officials say.
Two were inside the truck at the time of the accident. Crews were able to get one man from the accident with minor injuries, but the second man was trapped in the vehicle.
Northwest Fire says the trapped individual was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and died from his injuries.
The surviving individual is believed to have suffered minor injuries because he was wearing a seatbelt.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident and the investigation as to how the accident happened is ongoing.
