FBI: 2 unlicensed women provided butt enhancement injections to patients using US-banned drug

TUCSON, AZ - Two women from Mexico have been performing unlicensed butt enhancement procedures using a non-FDA approved drug in Tucson, according to an FBI official.

Authorities allege that Ivonne Clarisa Ceballos Tapia and Perla Guadalupe Rubio Prado have been providing patients injections of Polyacrylamide Hydrogel, otherwise known as PAAH, to enhance the buttocks area, according to an FBI press release.

PAAH is not-approved by the FDA and is banned in the United States.

According to the release, Tapia and Prado traveled from Mexico to Tucson to conduct these cosmetic procedures.

The FBI is now trying to get in contact with victims who may have received these injections from Tapia and Prado, who are unlicensed and unable to perform any surgical procedure in Arizona.

Anyone who may have received these injections should seek medical attention, as well as contact the Attorney General's office at 520-628-6504 or the FBI at 520-623-4306.
