2 arrested in deadly home invasion near Tucson

TUCSON, AZ - Authorities have arrested two suspects in a home invasion near Tucson and identified a third, who was shot dead by a neighbor who heard sounds of distress and went to investigate.

Pima County sheriff's Deputy Tracy Suitt says the neighbor and a 26-year-old Luis Antonio Lupercio exchanged gunfire early Saturday outside the home southwest of Tucson.

Deputies unsuccessfully tried to perform life-saving measures on Lupercio. Suitt says the neighbor acted in self-defense and won't be charged with a crime.

Two other suspects were arrested Sunday in connection with the home invasion. Suitt says a 20-year-old and a 17-year-old were charged with first-degree murder because someone died during a crime. It wasn't known if they had lawyers.

Authorities say there were more participants in the home invasion. They are looking for additional suspects.
