PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Police say a woman was killed and four teens were injured in an accident in Prescott Valley late Saturday.
According to a Prescott Valley Police Department news release, the single-vehicle rollover accident happened around 11 p.m. near Lakeshore and Navajo drives.
Police said 31-year-old Kaley Brooke Hight was traveling northbound on Navajo Drive when she turned westbound onto Lakeshore.
Hight turned short of the intersection, crossing the shoulder and onto Lakeshore causing the vehicle to overcorrect and overturn, according to police.
Police said Hight was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle which rolled on top of her.
She was pronounced dead at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center East Campus.
Police said there were four juveniles in the vehicle at the time of the accident; a 12-year-old male, 12-year-old female, 14-year-old male and 14-year-old female.
All four were injured but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Police said there were indications the teens were also not wearing seatbelts.
While investigating the accident officers reportedly smelled the odor of marijuana. A marijuana pipe was found at the scene and police are working to determine who owned and was using the pipe.
The investigation into the accident and possibility of impairment is ongoing.
