Marijuana found in jet ski towed across Arizona border

LUKEVILLE, AZ - Authorities arrested an Avondale man after drugs were found in an SUV and a jet ski being towed behind it.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, officers referred the 49-year-old man for additional inspection of the vehicles at the Port of Lukeville on Thursday.

During the inspection, officers found 15 bundles on marijuana weighing nearly 15 pounds in the SUV’s rear cargo area and under the watercraft’s seat.

The drugs were valued at approximately $7,300.

Officers seized the vehicles and the drugs and the man was referred to U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
