Lightning sparks fire in the Four Peaks area northeast of the Valley

Tonto National Forest officials are reporting a lightning caused fire burning near Four Peaks, northeast of the Valley.

Forest official David Albo says the "Reno Fire" is burning east of State Route 87 and south of Mount Ord.

Albo said the fire has already charred eight acres.

Officials say there have been reports of additional fires burning on the southeast side of Four Peaks.

Albo said air crews will conduct a reconnaissance mission Friday morning to see if there's anything that requires a response.
