ARIZONA CITY, AZ - Following an investigation that began in February, an Arizona City man was arrested last Thursday for child molestation and sexual abuse.
According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, parents of two of the victims, females ages 13 and 15, reported to the Tucson Police Department that they’d learned a relative of a family acquaintance was reporting her daughter had been molested by a 65-year-old man.
The family member told authorities the molestation was occurring in the United States and also in Mexico.
The victims reported the alleged crimes started when they were very young and also occurred when one was 10 years old and one was 12 years old.
Parents of the victims told authorities they confronted the suspect who admitted to molesting the victims.
The parents allege the crimes occurred in Tucson and in Arizona City.
On March 11, the allegations were reported to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office where an investigation was started. The investigation revealed probable cause to arrest the suspect for the alleged crimes occurring in Arizona City.
The suspect was booked into the Pinal County Jail for one count of child molestation and three counts of sexual abuse. All four counts are classified as dangerous crimes against children since the victims were under the age of 15 at the time of the alleged crimes.
He faces similar allegations in Tucson and further charges may be filed in Pima County in the near future.
