Brown Fire size estimate reduced to 240 acres

SIERRA VISTA, AZ - Still burning near Sierra Vista, the Brown Fire is now estimated to be approximately 240 acres after reports it was much larger Wednesday.

A media release stated that the reduction in acreage was due to better mapping of the fire from an infrared flight studying the fire.

No structures are threatened, but the fire is still at zero percent containment, as of late Wednesday night.

Brown Canyon in Coronado National Forest is closed for public safety.
