NOGALES, AZ - Two U.S. citizens were arrested in Nogales, Ariz. for attempting to smuggle more than 24-pounds of meth into the United States.
Teresa Small, spokeswoman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, said the two men--ages 29 and 26-- attempted to smuggle a red SUV filled with $378,000 worth of methamphetamine into the United States.
A CBP drug detection canine detected that the drugs were hid in packages inside all four doors of the SUV, said Smalls. In total, 16 packages of crystal meth were seized.
Both men are now being investigating by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security office.
