Customs and Border Protection arrested two Mexican men who attempted to smuggle nearly 200 pounds of methamphetamine and heroin into Nogales this weekend.

In one incident, 34-year-old Sinuel Gonzalez-Dominguez man from Sonora, Mexico, was found with 155 pounds of meth in a tractor-trailer's rear doors. The load was found while authorities were inspecting a cucumber truck that he was transporting into the Port of Nogales.

Twenty-year-old Edwin Elevier Lara-Ruiz, also from Sonora, was later caught with more than 20 pounds of meth and 15 pounds of heroin inside his vehicle.

The vehicles and drugs were seized for evidence and both subjects were handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs for Homeland Security to investigate.
