Police officers and detectives are canvassing a Maricopa neighborhood in hopes of getting more information about a man who reportedly assaulted a jogger this week.
Maricopa Police say the suspect, believed to be a teenager, attacked a woman jogging around 6 a.m. Tuesday near the Desert Cedars subdivision.
The suspect attacked the jogger from behind and took her to the ground before he was fought off and ran from the area.
Police say the suspect is a medium build and medium complexion black male, around 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with pink sleeves and a backpack.
Officers in uniform and in plain clothes will be going door to door on Thursday regarding the investigation.
