FD: Bees attack 3 in Maricopa

MARICOPA, AZ - Two people were sent to the hospital Wednesday after being attacked by bees in Maricopa.

Maricopa Fire spokesman Brad Pitassi said the attack happened at a home near Toya Street and Honeycutt Road around 2:30 p.m.

Pitassi said firefighters received a call about the attack from a cable employee working at the home.

When crews arrived, they found two adult males and a female outside the home being stung by bees.

Firefighters moved the three to safety and sprayed foam to remove the aggressive bees from area.

The two men were transported to local hospitals with multiple stings that were non-life threatening.
