MARICOPA, AZ - Three heroes were recognized in Pinal County on Tuesday for saving the life of a two-year-old girl who fell into a septic tank over the weekend.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office presented lifesaving-awards to Audencio Rios, Henry Ricketts and Chelsea Cunningham after they helped rescue 2-year-old Kylie Lafferty after she fell into a septic tank at a swap meet.
Rios and Ricketts each jumped into the sewage tank in order to rescue the girl, said authorities. Cunningham then performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on the little girl.
It was an emotional ceremony as both the rescuers and the little girl's family were able to meet for the first time.
Mother, Emily Howard, is so thankful to each person who helped rescue her daughter.
