PD: Motorcyclist killed in Casa Grande crash identified as 64-year-old Daniel K. Harman

CASA GRANDE, AZ - Authorities have identified a motorist killed in multi-vehicle collision Saturday evening in Casa Grande.

Thomas Anderson, spokesman for the Casa Grande Police Department, said 64-year-old Daniel K. Harman of Buckeye, Ariz. died after he was propelled off his motorcycle and into another vehicle.

Police said Harman was attempting to turn north onto Colorado Street from westbound Florence Boulevard around 6 p.m. when the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado turned in front of the motorcyclist.

The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his motorcycle and into a nearby Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Authorities believe Harman was killed on impact, according to the police report.

Police said both drivers had a green signal, however, the motorcyclist had the right -of-way.

Anderson said the 42-year-old driver of the pick-up truck, who did not have a valid driver's license, was arrested and booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.

ABC15 is not identifying the suspect because he has not been formally charged.
