Man arrested in Casa Grande shooting; police looking for a person of interest

Police in Casa Grande have arrested a 33-year-old man after they believe he shot and injured a 35-year-old man back on June 11. 

According to the Casa Grande Police Department, John Alderete was located on June 23 in Chandler at his job. The man was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Facility and held on a $500,000 bond. Police are working to forward attempted murder charges to the Pinal County Attorney's Office in connection to the June 11 shooting. 

Police are currently looking for 37-year-old Tito Tarango, from Globe, as a person of interest in the shooting. He was located in Phoenix on June 18 and arrested on unrelated charges and was released. Police say the man was driving a vehicle that was used during the shooting when he was arrested on June 18. 

The man who was shot and injured still remains in the hospital where he is in critical condition.
