ELOY, AZ - Police say a person died in a skydiving accident Thursday morning in the Eloy area.
Eloy police Sgt. Brian Jerome said the call came out around 10:30 a.m. about a half mile south of the Eloy airport.
Air15 video showed a few law enforcement vehicles parked in an open, deserted area.
The skydiver's parachute failed to open, said Ian Gregor with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Fort Bragg officials confirmed that the person who died was a service member stationed at the North Carolina base, according to The Associated Press.
The U.S. Army Special Operations Command identified the victim as Sgt. 1st Class Bradley Keys of Inman, South Carolina.
Keys was an engineer sergeant assigned to Headquarters, U.S. Army Special Forces Command at Fort Bragg, N.C.
He joined the Army in 1998.
Keys is survived by his wife, Lisa Gentry Keys, a son and his parents.
