CASA GRANDE, AZ - Two men who fled from officers after a traffic stop south of the Valley have been caught, according to authorities.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Raul Garcia said an officer stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10 near Casa Grande around 7:20 a.m. for a traffic violation.
Once stopped, the two occupants ran from the vehicle and out into the desert east of I-10 near McCartney Road.
Officers reportedly found weapons and drugs in the vehicle.
The two were taken into custody on a dairy farm less than 5 miles away around 9:40 a.m., according to Garcia.
Officers from DPS worked with Casa Grande police officers, Pinal County sheriff's deputies and Border Patrol to search the area for the suspects.
The Associated Press reports that two women remained in the car when the men fled.
