Arizona City family searching for lost service dog

PHOENIX - An Arizona City family is canvassing their neighborhood, hoping to find their daughter's service dog.

10-year-old Haley Kemp has Cerebral Palsy and is legally blind. Four years ago, her family adopted a German Shepherd named China to help with her disabilities.

"You could tell it just brought her so much joy," said Haley's dad Daniel.

Three weeks ago, China disappeared from the Kemp's backyard.

Daniel says he thinks someone tried to steal China because their backyard gate had been broken into.

"Everybody would miss their dog you know but for her (Haley) she was progressing because of the dog," said Dan.

Daniel says China was undergoing the process of becoming a fully-fledged service dog.

A reward is being offered for her return.

If you have any information contact Daniel at: 480-388-0530.
