WASHINGTON - Cambridge Silversmiths Ltd. Inc. announced a recall on flatware because of a choking hazard to young children.

About 13,000 Fiesta Masquerade and Home Olympic Flatware sets are included in the call-back.

The plastic decorative inserts on the flatware’s handles can detach during dishwashing, posing a choking hazard to children.

The items were sold nationwide at retailers such as JCPenney and Target between August 2008 and August of this year.

Consumers are urged to return the product and obtain a free replacement.
