Gotta find a way to make the heat tolerable, right? We decided to "bake" cookies on the ABC15 patio on Wednesday.
How hot does it have to be for cookies to bake in Arizona? To see what 114 degrees looks like, we put some cookie dough on a baking sheet, and threw that pan onto our patio in direct sunlight.
Here's what the cookies looked like on the patio and in position to start cooking (10:45am)
Here's another view as we set up our livestream at 10:45am
By 11:45 a.m. the cookies were as flat as pancakes!
Wow! Take a look at the cookies at 12:45 p.m.! The thermostat says it is 120 degrees!
The sun continued to "bake" the cookies on the ABC15 patio at 1:45 p.m.
They smell good! Here's how the cookies look at 2:45 p.m.
Our cookie pan registered 140 degrees Wednesday afternoon
The cookies start to harden by 3:45pm, but they are still far from "eatable" as we seen it.
