Throughout our young lives we're rewarded with unhealthy treats, but is that the reason why we grow up to be unhealthy adults?
An Atlanta health organization seems to believe so.
In a recent video campaign, a man is fighting for his life in the hospital after being plagued with medical issues from unhealthy eating habits. These harmful habits began when the man was a baby.
Looking back on all of the candies, fast-food trips, birthday cakes and comfort foods, Strong 4 Life is hoping to strike a chord with parents feeding their kids.
"Your child's future doesn't have to look like this," the commercial states.
Strong 4 Life's goal is to eliminate childhood obesity and change in the way we approach food and health.
The commercial is getting mixed reviews from viewers, though.
Some believe that the video targets parents and puts all the blame on their shoulders, while others believe that after a certain point, the child should know better than to eat certain things.
Do you think the video is an effective way to fight childhood and adult obesity in our country?
