Texas woman convicted of killing boyfriend with stiletto heel gets life in prison

HOUSTON - Ana Trujillo, convicted of killing her Texas boyfriend by repeatedly stabbing him with a stiletto heel, has been sentenced to life in prison, a legal assistant to her attorney said Friday.

The sentence was given in a Houston courtroom, said April Padilla, who works for attorney Jack Carroll.

Trujillo was convicted of murder Tuesday in the June 2013 death of Alf Stefan Andersson.

CNN affiliate KPRC reported that Trujillo struck Andersson more than 25 times.

Trujillo had recently moved in with Andersson, and she told investigators that he grabbed her and a struggle followed, said CNN affiliate KTRK.

Andersson was a full-time research professor at the University of Houston's Center for Nuclear Receptor and Cell Signaling.
