Teen found safe after stopping to check man lying on road, telling friend she was being followed

BEDFORD, MI - A missing Bedford Township teen has been found safe in Ecorse.

ABC15's sister station in Detroit has learned that Hayley Turner is at the Ecorse Police Department, talking to investigators. 


The Monroe County Sheriff's Office in Michigan is asking for assistance finding a missing 18-year-old Bedford Township woman.

Hayley Turner was on the phone with a friend August 7 when she stopped at the intersection of Dean Road and Crabb Road to investigate a person lying on the side of the road. Turner soon told her friend the man had a gun and was following her.

Minutes later, Turner's car was found unoccupied and idling near the intersection.

Hayley Turner is a white female with long brown hair that falls just below the shoulder. She is 130 lbs with brown eyes. She was last seen August 7 wearing black yoga pants and an orange T-shirt.
