Authorities say a body found on a San Diego beach has been identified as a woman reported missing from Scottsdale.
The San Diego Police Department on Tuesday said the medical examiner's office confirmed a body found in Mission Beach over the weekend was that of Amanda Cruse.
The 30-year-old was visiting the San Diego area from Scottsdale on February 18. She was last seen February 19 walking in the direction of Sunset Cliffs, and reported missing a few days later.
On Sunday, police received a call about a body found on the beach. Officers arrived on scene to find a decomposed body of an adult female.
Investigators say dental comparison was used to identify the body.
No further information was immediately available.
