DAYTON, OH - Several reports were released about an active shooter at a VA Medical Center just after noon in Dayton, Ohio.
There are no confirmed reports of injuries as of this time, but according to Scripps sister station WCPO , shots were heard in the building.
The shooting suspect was reportedly taken into custody at the medical center's Good Samaritan Hospital, according to police dispatches in the area.
WCPO said police began working to put the building on lockdown and locating the suspect by going room to room.
Employees inside the building were reportedly told to stay locked down in their offices after being put on a "code silver" lockdown, WCPO reported. Police later evacuated the building.
The medical center posted on their Facebook page that they are in the middle of a "situation" and are not currently taking appointments.
