Police impersonator lured migrants into home to perform sex acts, threatened deportation

A security guard posing as a police officer was luring migrants into doing sexual acts and threatening deportation if they didn't comply, according to a San Francisco Chronicle article.

Police reportedly found two men who spoke little English who were lured into Jeffrey Bugai's home. Bugai was said to have handcuffed or drugged the men and forced them to perform.

The San Francisco Chronicle says police believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward. Victims may be scared to admit their involvement because they were told they would be reported to police or deported if they told authorities or refused Bugai.

Bugai plead not guilty, but has been known to impersonate authorities before. Local prosecutors say Bugai has impersonated a health worker at least three times, according to the Chronicle.

The suspect has reportedly been part of other incidents with authorities and has identified himself as being employed in positions of power when he may not have been.
