The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company unveiled it's newest blimp, Wingfoot One, on Monday.
The blimp was named Wingfoot One by a 76-year-old woman who submitted the name in a fourth-month online public contest. It was selected from nearly 15,000 submissions.
The woman, Charlotte White, received the news that her name was chosen with the new blimp circling her house Monday morning in Akron, Ohio.
As the winner of the contest, White will receive one day of activities with Wingfoot One.
Wingfoot One was one of the top 10 names and received 35 percent of the public vote. The other nine finalists will receive a set of Goodyear tires.
"Wingfoot One is a semi-rigid, Zeppelin model LZ N07-101 assembled at Goodyear's Wingfoot Lake airship hangar," according to the press release.
The new aircraft is expected to be christened in August.
