Motrin berry-flavored infant drops half-ounce bottles recalled

About 200,000 bottles of Concentrated Motrin Infants' Drops are being voluntarily recalled due to a risk that they may contain tiny plastic particles, McNeil Consumer Healthcare announced.

The company said retailers were being asked to remove three lot numbers of Concentrated Motrin Infants' Drops Original Berry Flavor in half-ounce bottles.

The lot numbers are DCB3T01, DDB4R01 and DDB4S01.

"The potential for adverse medical events related to the reason for this recall is not likely," the company said in a news release Sunday.

Tiny plastic particles were discovered in a different lot during manufacturing. That lot was not released, and the particles were traced to a shipment of ibuprofen from a supplier, the company said.

The three recalled lots were made with the same batch of ibuprofen, the company said.

Consumers with questions or who would like to request a refund may call the company at 1-877-414-7709.
