Javier Paz, Lake Worth man, arrested on multiple child porn charges

LAKE WORTH, FL - A Lake Worth man was arrested Wednesday, charged with 22 counts of distributing child pornography.

Authorities say they were alerted of Javier Paz's activities by Google, which monitors the content uploaded to its servers.

Paz, 29, uploaded 22 images of child pornography to his Google Picasa account via his home computer, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office began investigating Paz after Google alerted a national task force that investigates Internet crimes against children, according to the arrest affidavit.

Deputies said Paz told investigators in a taped statement that he admitted to downloading, sharing and distributing child pornography through his email, according to the report.

Paz is being held on $3,000 bond for each of the 22 counts of child pornography he was charged with.

He was also ordered by a Palm Beach County judge at first appearance Thursday not to use a computer and not to have contact with children.
