Grumpy Cat stuffed animal and key clip recalled due to choking hazard

If you’re a super fan of “Grumpy Cat” you might have a recalled item in your home.

Ganz has recalled the Grumpy Cat stuffed animal due to a choking hazard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall includes two types of stuffed animals and a key chain.

The recall is for the 8-inch Grumpy Cat in the laying position (Model: HGC12974, Batch 1: 86754, Batch 2: 224861), 5-inch Grumpy Cat in the sitting position (Model: HGC12982, Batch 1: 86754, batch 2: 224861), and a 4-inch Grumpy Cat key clip (Model: HGC12983, Batch 1: 86754, Batch 2: 224861).

Ganz has received several reports of the eyes detaching from the toys causing a choking hazard, CPSC said.

If you’re affected by the recall you can contact Ganz for a replacement or refund.

The toys were sold in hospitals, museums and gift shops nationwide from December 2013 to January 2014.
