Check your Twitter accounts, and you may see #GivingTuesday showing up often.

Founders say “Giving Tuesday” is more than a hashtag; it’s a way to move people’s mindsets from shopping for others to giving to others.

Money Magazine says more than 30,000 organizations in 68 countries are now benefitting from it, especially since most charities get the vast majority of their donations at the end of the year when people are in the giving spirit.

Some of the ways you may see Giving Tuesday play out include PayPal offering a one-percent match on many gifts. It’s looking to set a new Guinness World Record for the most money donated online for charity in 24 hours.

Texas Instruments will also deliver more than a thousand Meals on Wheels.

A survey of millennials found that many said they didn’t feel they had the money to donate; however, Giving Tuesday points out you don’t just have to give money, you can also give of your time and your talents.
