Flash drive forces plane to make emergency landing at Kansas City International Airport

KANSAS CITY, MO - A plane has made an emergency landing at Kansas City International Airport due to a suspected bomb threat.

Several crews were called out around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Airport Spokesperson Joe McBride says the American Airline flight, coming from San Francisco International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport, landed after someone found a flash drive taped to the bathroom wall.

The plane was isolated at one side of the airport, and all 215 passengers, plus 9 crew members were evacuated.

The plane is being thoroughly searched.

No injuries were reported.
