Family reportedly won't accept donation from KFC after hoax involving girl mauled by dog

Reports say that the family responsible for a hoax involving Kentucky Fried Chicken has refused a large donation to a little girl's medical costs.

Thousands of dollars were offered after allegations were made that a KFC employee told a 3-year-old to leave because her facial scars were disturbing.

Several reports found that the claims were false, but after such a huge backlash against the restaurant and in favor of the little girl, KFC offered up a donation anyway.

The family recently turned down $30,000 because they "didn't feel right" about accepting the money, their lawyer told Yahoo .

The family was, however, open to allowing KFC to donate to a medical foundation if they chose to continue with a donation.

Several other doctors and teams have offered to provide medical treatment for the girl who was reportedly attacked by the family's dog.

In order to gain attention, the family released their story, which has since been identified as a hoax. They also started an online fundraising page that was shut down once reports of the hoax spread across the internet.
