Scott Mackintosh wanted to teach his teenage daughter a lesson about her skimpy wardrobe.
"I heard my wife ask our daughter if she would please change into some longer shorts before leaving. She said "NO!" Instead of turning her response and disrespectful attitude into a major battle, I decided to make a "small" statement on how her short-shorts maybe aren't as "cute" as she thinks," Mackintosh explains on his blog.
So the dad cut a pair of his own jeans into short-shorts and completed the outfit with a "Best. Dad. Ever." shirt his oldest daughter gave him for Father's Day.
Mackintosh said when he walked out to the car, where his family was waiting to go out to dinner, his kids didn't even notice his revealing outfit because they were staring at their phones.
The dad said when his daughter finally did notice his attire, she didn't act like it bothered her.
Mackintosh wanted to make his daughter sweat -- so after dinner, he decided to take it to the next level.
"OK, let's go miniature golfing" he said.
Still not phased by her dad's Daisy Dukes, Mackintosh decided to hit up a popular ice cream spot. Mackintosh's daughter was mortified and refused to get out of the car.
As for the lesson here -- Mackintosh said, "My daughter will always know that her dad loves her and cares about her enough to make a fool out of himself."
