Chase bank experienced a problem Monday that had customers scrambling to figure out where their money went.
JP Morgan Chase said it hadn't been hacked but was having a problem "related to an internal issue" as customers found their accounts showing zero balances.
Some customers shared their frustration on Twitter and showed screen shots of zero balances. Others received messages that their bank account balances were unavailable, according to
"We have a technology problem regarding customers' balance information that we are working to resolve," a bank spokesperson said. "It has nothing cyberthreats; it's an internal issue. We are very sorry to our customers for the inconvenience."
The representative said credit cards and mortgage accounts were not affected.
There was no word how many customers were affected.
