BRADLEY COUNTY, TN - Police have found the body of a student pilot who was thrown from a small plane over rural Tennessee.
The victim was not wearing a seatbelt when the two-seater plane went into a nose dive and the canopy came off.
The student pilot, who has not been identified, fell 2,500 feet to his death during the flight on Friday, according to WRCB .
The instructor, also not identified, was able to land the Zodiac 601 at the airport while crews searched the countryside for the victim.
According to Reuters , the body was found in a tree-line, not far from a roadway.
