Beef jerky recall: Utah company recalls 90,000 pounds of jerky products

Approximately 90,000 pounds of beef jerky products from a Utah company are being recalled because of misbranding and an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The USDA says the products from Prime Snax, Inc., were processed with a chemical called soy lecithin, which was not declared on product labels.

The brands included in the recall include Arizona Jacks, Desert Star, Southwest Trail, Terrell and Kettle Creek.

The recalled products have the establishment number "EST. 18951" inside the USDA Mark of Inspection.

So far, there have been no reports of adverse reactions from these products, the USDA says.
