Bear cub mysteriously dropped off at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care doorstep

LAKE TAHOE, CA - A California animal rescue is helping another animal in need, but no one knows where it came from.

According to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care , a tiny bear cub was dropped off on the Bear League's doorstep in mid-April.

No information was left with the cub, so no one is sure where she came from, if there are other cubs or why she was left at the rescue center.

She's so young and small that she was just recently learning how to walk, the website says, but she seems to be healthy.

At the time they found her, the cub was just over 5 pounds and around 10 weeks old.

A few days after caring for the cub, an update was posted on the site saying that the cub is still doing well and acts much like a baby or puppy, napping and exploring.

The rescue center also said in the update they are controlling human contact with her as she will hopefully one day be released.
