TULSA, OK - A woman flying into Tulsa International Airport was busted Monday for trafficking drugs after officers found several pounds of crystal meth in her luggage.
Twenty-three-year-old Tania Elizalde, of Glendale, Ariz., was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for aggravated trafficking. She's being held on $25,000.
According to the police report, officers received information Elizalde may have had drugs in her luggage when she arrived at TIA.
A canine officer "alerted" on her bag, indicating there may be drugs inside. Police say two plain clothes officers approached Elizalde, explaining the canine officer's alert on her suitcase and Elizalde gave the officers permission to search her luggage.
According to the police report, the officers found approximately seven pounds of crystal methamphetamine in the suitcase lining.
A field test indicated the substance was positive for methamphetamine.
