Some drivers are frustrated with the long wait at traffic lights along the Valley's light rail route.

In Tempe Wednesday, an ABC15 crew watched as one driver got out of his car and pushed a crosswalk button, hoping to get through the intersection faster.

The crew checked the time of a light at Dorsey Lane and Apache Boulevard where the red light lasted over three minutes.

Light rail officials said they're still working out the system's kinks, but said the longer lights will help prepare drivers when the trains start running in December.

I had to wait at a train signal for 10 minutes on East Washington St at 10:00 pm w/no train in sight. 3 people got out of another vehicle and lifted the arm to let 30 of us through. What idiot programs these things.
