The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward up to $50,000 for information and services leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for shooting at a postal truck with an employee behind the wheel.

It happened July 17 at about 2:45 a.m. near 37th and Glendale avenues.

The postal truck driver said someone riding on the roof of an on-coming car opened fire at the 18-wheeler.

Investigators said the truck had been shot four times.

The driver was not hurt even though one of the bullets struck the cab.

The driver did not get a description or the license plate number of the suspect vehicle.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the US Postal Inspection Service’s 24-hour hotline 1-(877) 876-2455, or click here.
