The airline began charging their travelers $1 for coffee and tea $2 for juices, sodas, and bottled water on Friday.
Alcoholic beverages also increased in cost from $5 to $7.
"Maybe juice and everything else but water?" said Jessica Hale. "Our bodies need water. How can you make us pay for it?"
Some passengers, such as trans-Atlantic and first-class members, are exempt from the new rule.
US Airways, along with other airlines, have been forced to make cutbacks during the recent increase in fuel prices.
"I understand fuel costs are high but they are for us too," said Eric Pebley. "I have to drive here to pick my kids up from the airport and they are not flying with anybody. They are flying by themselves and now, I have to give them money to make sure they have something to drink on the plane?"
However, the flight attendant's union says their members will give a passenger water for free if it'll avoid confrontation.
Even US Airways spokesman Morgan Durrant says that flight attendants will "err on the side of the customer."
The airline also will not charge for some extenuating circumstances, such as when passengers sit on the tarmac for a long period of time or there are medical emergencies.
