Click the play button on the video window to the right to see the storyPhoenix Mayor Phil Gordon was admitted to a Valley hospital Tuesday night for a broken vertebrae, according to Gordon's spokesperson Scott Phelps.
Gordon was reportedly recovering in the hospital following an accident he had this weekend while clearing broken branches from a tree at his Phoenix home.
The 57-year-old mayor had climbed into the tree to clear the debris when he fell about 13 feet to the ground.
Phelps said Gordon is expected to make a full recovery.
