Arizona to hold summit, discuss solutions for gas prices

Several Arizona lawmakers are organizing a summit to discuss causes and solutions to rising gas prices around the state.

Rep. Ed Ableser of Tempe is partnering with Rep. Kyrsten Sinema and Rep. Chad Campbell, both of Phoenix, to hold the summit.

Panelists include Dr. Ram Pendyala, ASU Civil Engineering; Dr. Michael Kuby, ASU Geography; Sandy Bahr, Sierra Club; and Bill Sheaffer, Valley of the Sun Clean Cities.

The panel will discuss the reasons for the escalating gas prices, and what can be done about the problem.

The summit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
 
It will be held at the 2nd floor conference room at the Executive Tower, 1700 W. Washington St. in Phoenix.

The summit is open to the public.
