An initial appearance hearing in Phoenix for rapper DMX was postponed on Tuesday.
Judge Phemonia Miller granted a defense request to reschedule the hearing for next Monday.
Defense attorney Charles Kozelka requested the delay because his client is still in a drug and alcohol rehab center in Florida.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, faces four counts of drug possession.
Kozelka says Simmons is set to be released from the rehab center this week, and should have no problem being present for the rescheduled hearing.
Earlier this year, a bench warrant was issued for Simmons after he failed to appear for another court hearing in Phoenix.
He was arrested in Florida, but the court allowed him to finish his rehab before being extradited back to Arizona.
