Two kindergarten classrooms at Ahwatukee Foothills Prep, near 48th Street and Elliot Road in Phoenix, were flooded with about three inches of water when the roof collapsed, according to a woman at the school.
"I drove into the parking lot and it was like 'oh my God' what has happened to my school," said parent Yolanda Greene.
"It's a Godsend that it hapened over the weekend versus during the schol year."
Administrators expect the damage to be repaired before school starts in three weeks.
No one was at the school at the time and there is no word on why the roof collapsed.
