Two vehicles crashed into a wrecked tractor-trailer on Interstate 10 near Tonopah, killing two people and injuring four others.
The Department of Public Safety says the commercial tractor-trailer veered off the freeway at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, went back onto the roadway and rolled on its right side.
A part of the wrecked trailer was in the left lane.
A sport-utility vehicle hit the trailer and rolled, partially ejecting the front passenger. Fifty-year-old Deborah Lou Oshaughnessy of Fontana, Calif. was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and rear passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
A Chevy Corvette hit the trailer next. The only occupant, 31-year-old Matthew Aaron Bachrach of Queen Creek, was declared dead at the scene.
The tractor-trailer's driver and his passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
