VIDEO: Butterfly lands on the face of an excited little boy

Raising a tiny caterpillar to a big, beautiful butterfly can be a huge moment in a child's young life, but this kid was shocked to find out what would happen.

In a recent video with just under 400,000 views, two little boys are readying to release their Monarch butterfly into the wild.

With a little help, the butterfly is lifted from the container and into the sky, but the butterfly wants to say one last goodbye.

Much to the surprise of one of the boys, the giant orance and black butterfly lands directly onto his nose, covering much of the center of his face.

"Go! Go! Go!" the boy laughs.

Despite his shrieks of joy, the boy is told to keep calm and leave the butterfly alone until he's ready to take off once and for all.

Finally, after giving the boy "butterfly kisses" on his nose and forehead, the boys say "bye" to the butterfly.

We think they're going to remember their special moment for a long time--we know we are!

So far the video has been featured on Good Morning America and Reddit where the boy's grandparents posted the sweet moment for all to see.
